Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation Mr Curtis will take a detailed history regarding general health, menstrual cycle, how long you have been trying to conceive and understanding the timing of the cycle. There will also be a discussion on history of likely infections or symptoms suggestive of endometriosis, adenomyosis or polycystic ovaries.

A physical examination may be performed to assess the size of the uterus and ovaries and to identify any possible abnormalities. Blood tests, ultrasound scans and hysterosalpingogram may be panned to assess whether the ovaries are working correctly, whether there are any structural abnormalities within the uterus and ovaries and whether the fallopian tubes are blocked.

The first consultation is a general discussion, unless blood tests and scans have already been performed, in which case, there may be ability to move on to a discussion regarding planning.
